The Union Norvegian pro Interlingua has published the "Interlingua course for beginners", which is an English version of the Danish course written by Thomas Breinstrup, secretary of the Union Danese pro Interlingua. The course is published as one downloadable PDF file per lesson and teaches about 750 words. The first ten lessons form the complete story of the Hansen family's travel to Scotland to visit friends. There are grammatical explanations and exercises for each lesson. The final five lessons are longer conversations.

Åsmund Knutson, chairman of the Union Norvegian pro Interlingua, has translated and adapted the English verion of the course which is illustrated by Henrik Breinstrup, the father of the author.

All these course materials are freely available but remain covered by copyright. This means that personal use is permitted but it is not allowed to redistribute the course to others, nor to publish it in other ways, for example on other websites or on CDs/DVDs, without prior written permission from the copyright holders.

Audio recordings of the lessons in MP3 format have been created by Thomas Breinstrup. The audio files follow the Norwegian version of the course, in which the characters have slightly different names, but the basic texts are identical, so you can easily use the audio for the English version.
